The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has lost 506 employees since January 2017.
Of the workers who left the service, 128 employees had tertiary qualifications, and together this group had a collective 5 000 years of employment.
One of the persons has a doctorate, 15 have master’s degrees and 24 honors degrees.
The outflow of brainpower is alarming and may lead a failure of SARS such as Eskom, Transnet and other entities.
