Gov. Andy Beshear paid tribute to a Louisville boy who lost his life to brain cancer.
9-year-old David Turner Junior died a year ago, after bravely battling an inoperable brain tumor.
This week, the governor signed three proclamations honoring Turner.
Surrounded by cancer patients' families, advocates, and researchers, Gov. Beshear declared May to be Brain Tumor Awareness Month in the state of Kentucky.
He also proclaimed May 17th DIPG( diffuse intrinsic pontin glioma) Awareness Day and May 21st David Turner , Jr. Day.
